ORION-DF
The ORION-DF is a dry feed computer for pig production which communicates by a CAN-BUS system. The feed is performed on the basis of mixing, weighing, dispensing and transport of a feed portion for an animal or a number of animals per through feeder. The amount and composition of a feed portion can be determined in a feed table. Miscellaneous feed times can be also set.
Each feed portion consists of a mixture of a number of components that are accurately added successively. The weighing takes place after mixing. The ORION-DF is able to control 30 silos/kinds of feed of which 4 on the principle of micro-dosage and 26 big silos. In total 16 circuits can be controlled simultaneously. The program ensures that the correct valves are opened and closed again at the correct moment.
