Heat exchanger control integrated into Orion software
In October 2011, Hotraco is launching a new control for heat exchangers in the Orion-PB, PS, PL and PP computers. The control for the heat exchanger will then be incorporated into the fan control.
A heat exchanger ensures that the incoming outside air is preheated using exhausted stall air, without mixing these together. This ensures that oxygen-rich fresh air is preheated before it is pumped into the stall. Particularly in the case of broilers, the heat exchanger can be used for minimum ventilation during the first 2-3 weeks, depending on the heat exchanger capacity. If the heat exchanger is used in this way, you can make considerable savings in heating costs.
The heat exchanger control in the Orion makes optimum use of the possibilities of the heat exchanger, and ensures the right stall climate. Furthermore, a number of extras have been added to the software, making it easy to set when the heat exchanger can be cleaned, for example, and making it possible to set a drying time.

The Orion has been expanded to include registration via SD card, which permits easy storage of data required for compliance with various regulations.

New underpressure sensor in the range
In the middle of November 2011, Hotraco will switch to a new, improved underpressure sensor, OPN-DR-ST. From that point on, the familiar red underpressure sensor will no longer be available to order.
AKE Zentri-Jet dealership
As of January this year, Hotraco Agri has been granted the dealership by the AKE Zentri-Jet company for the whole Benelux.
