SmartWinch: the new total solution for valve control
During the LIV in Venray, Hotraco Agri BV will launch the SmartWinch: the smart 24V winch motor.
In combination with its own power supply and emergency positioning, the SmartWinch forms a total solution for controlling air inlet valves in chicken barns and pigsties. By using smart electronics and the easily-operated HotButtons, potentiometers and limit switches are no longer required.
SmartWinch, PS-100 and HNO-PS: a strong team
The SmartWinch is a 24V AC/DC winch motor with a 0-10V signal and a tractive force of 160 kg maximum. The fully brushless motor works on the principle of a stepper motor, so that the exact position is determined without potentiometers or limit switches. The associated PS-100 power supply is suited for one or two SmartWinches and provided with manual operation. During power failure, it is possible to use the HNO-PS to steer the SmartWinch to a preset emergency position: open, closed or even a manual position.
HotButtons
The SmartWinch is one of the Hotraco products that is equipped with the HotButtons. With these buttons, the motor can be calibrated easily and quickly. Calibration with the HotButtons is done completely electronically and once the position is set, it no longer drifts. As a result, the cover no longer needs to be opened. This makes the installation of the SmartWinch simplicity itself.
Accessories
The SmartWinch can be supplied with numerous accessories, such as a cable drum or a single or double belt drum. Because of its design, the SmartWinch can be easily mounted against any wall by using a suitable mounting bracket. It can also be extended with extra counter-plates, for example with sheet-pile mounting. Naturally, the motor can be mounted in any desired position. In addition, a maintenance switch can be supplied, as well as a hand winch.

Heat exchanger control integrated into Orion software
In October 2011, Hotraco is launching a new control for heat exchangers in the Orion-PB, PS, PL and PP computers. The control for the heat exchanger will then be incorporated into the fan control.
New underpressure sensor in the range
In the middle of November 2011, Hotraco will switch to a new, improved underpressure sensor, OPN-DR-ST. From that point on, the familiar red underpressure sensor will no longer be available to order.
AKE Zentri-Jet dealership
As of January this year, Hotraco Agri has been granted the dealership by the AKE Zentri-Jet company for the whole Benelux.
